🪨 《Written Again: The God Who Restores》
— A Literary Devotional Narrative in English
The mountain was silent again.
The calf was gone.
The tablets were broken.
So was the covenant.
So, almost, was Moses’ heart.
But the voice came again.
Not with wrath—
but with invitation.
“Chisel out two stone tablets like the first,
and I will write on them the words that were on the first tablets,
which you broke.”
Moses obeyed.
At dawn, he climbed.
Hands trembling,
stone in his pack.
The climb was familiar—
but the mission was different.
Not revelation.
Not confrontation.
Restoration.
And God descended.
Not in fury—
but in faithfulness.
He passed before Moses and proclaimed again:
“The LORD, the LORD,
compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger,
abounding in love and faithfulness.”
The same name.
The same mercy.
Even after betrayal.
God renewed the covenant.
He spoke again of commandments.
But more than law, He gave love.
“I will go with you.”
“I will dwell with you.”
“I will be your God.”
Moses stayed forty days and nights.
No food.
No water.
Only glory.
And when he descended,
he carried the second tablets—
not broken,
but whole.
They were the sign:
That God does not just speak once.
He speaks again.
That what was shattered
can be rewritten.
That the covenant
can be restored.
