🧱 《The Stain That Spreads: Holiness in Fabric and Stone》
— A Literary Devotional Narrative in English
It began with a patch.
On the sleeve of a wool robe—
a greenish spot that hadn’t been there the day before.
No tear,
no spill,
no accident.
It grew.
And that was the problem.
He remembered what Moses had said:
“Bring the garment to the priest.”
(Leviticus 13:49–51)
Not just bodies—
but clothes.
Not just people—
but places.
He held the robe tightly as he walked.
It was his father’s cloak.
Passed down.
Worn during feasts and fasts.
Now maybe destined for fire.
The priest looked,
waited,
quarantined it.
And after seven days,
examined again.
The verdict?
“It is a defiling mildew.
It must be burned.”
Tears welled in his eyes—
not just for the fabric,
but for what it meant:
Holiness cannot coexist with corruption,
even in what we wear.
Weeks later,
his neighbor noticed something on the wall.
A deep red streak.
Then yellow.
Then spreading.
“Go to the priest,”
his wife said.
He sighed.
It was just a wall, wasn’t it?
But God had said:
“When you enter the land and I put a spreading mildew in a house,
the owner must go and tell the priest.”
(Leviticus 14:34–35)
Yes—God said "I put it there."
Because God was teaching them:
Houses can carry rot.
So can hearts.
The priest came.
Scraped.
Removed stones.
Waited.
And if it returned,
the whole house would be torn down.
Why?
Because in the Promised Land,
nothing hidden can remain hidden.
Every space must reflect the glory of God.
