✨ 《Show Me Your Glory: The Boldest Prayer Ever Prayed》
✨ 《Show Me Your Glory: The Boldest Prayer Ever Prayed》
— A Literary Devotional Narrative in English
The people had sinned.
The covenant had been broken.
The golden calf still lingered in the memory like smoke after a fire.
But Moses—
he returned to the tent.
The Tent of Meeting.
Where cloud descended.
Where God spoke to him as a man speaks to his friend.
Israel camped in shame.
Moses stood in boldness.
He had interceded for their forgiveness.
Now he asked for something more:
“If Your Presence does not go with us,
do not send us from here.”
“How will anyone know we are Yours,
unless You go with us?”
And God answered:
“My Presence will go with you.
And I will give you rest.”
But Moses wasn’t finished.
“Now…
Show me Your glory.”
He wasn’t asking for another miracle.
Not fire.
Not thunder.
Not water from rock.
He asked for God Himself.
And the Lord said,
“You cannot see My face and live…
but I will make all My goodness pass before you.”
“There is a place near Me,
where you may stand on the rock.”
So Moses went.
And God came.
Not in earthquake.
Not in fear.
But in goodness.
He placed Moses in the cleft of the rock.
He covered him with His hand.
And passed by.
And as He did,
He proclaimed His name:
“The LORD, the LORD,
compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger,
abounding in love and faithfulness.”
Moses saw His back—
not His face—
but he saw enough.
Enough to know:
God’s glory isn’t just brilliance.
It is character.
Mercy.
Grace.
Truth.
Moses came down the mountain
with his face radiant.
Not from lightning—
but from love.
