🔥 《The Robe Left Behind, The Integrity Held Fast》
A Literary Devotional Narrative in English
The house was quiet.
Empty.
Except for Joseph,
and her.
Potiphar's wife—
bold, relentless.
Eyes like nets,
words like silk.
“Lie with me.” (Genesis 39:7)
It wasn’t just a moment.
It was daily.
Pressure building.
Solitude tempting.
No witnesses.
No escape.
No applause for saying no.
But he remembered—
“How could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” (v.9)
So he ran.
Not to survive,
but to remain whole.
She grasped his robe—
but couldn’t touch his soul.
The robe was left behind,
but not his righteousness.
And for that,
he was thrown into prison.
Not for failing,
but for staying faithful.
Because sometimes integrity
costs more than compromise.
