🔥 《The Mountain Where Love and Faith Collided》
🔥 《The Mountain Where Love and Faith Collided》
— A Literary Devotional Narrative in English
He had heard God's voice before.
But this time, it pierced deeper.
“Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and sacrifice him.”
No explanations.
No promises of safety.
Just obedience.
Abraham did not sleep that night.
He watched the stars, the very stars that once carried a promise.
Now they witnessed his silence.
Three days of walking.
Three days of dying inside.
Three days of watching Isaac carry the wood.
“Father, where is the lamb for the offering?”
“God will provide…” Abraham whispered. (Genesis 22:7–8)
The altar was built.
The boy was bound.
The knife was raised.
And then—
a voice from heaven stopped everything.
“Do not lay a hand on the boy.” (v.12)
In the thicket: a ram.
In the silence: mercy.
In the obedience: provision.
That place would forever be called:
“The Lord will provide.” (Genesis 22:14)
And on that mountain,
faith found its reward.
Love met sacrifice.
And heaven remembered the day a father
did not hold back his son.
