👑 《From the Dungeon to the Throne: Joseph’s Rise to Power》

— A Literary Devotional Narrative in English

The prison door groaned.
Chains rattled.
And Joseph… waited.

Two years had passed since the cupbearer forgot.
Two years of silence.
Of dreams unspoken.
Of hope flickering like a dying candle.

But God had not forgotten.

In the palace, Pharaoh awoke with a start.
Sweat on his brow.
A shadow behind his eyes.

He had dreamed—
and the dream would not leave him.

Seven fat cows by the Nile,
followed by seven gaunt ones that devoured them.

Then seven plump ears of grain,
consumed by seven thin ones scorched by the east wind.

None of Egypt’s magicians or sages could explain it.

Pharaoh’s spirit grew anxious.
And then…

“I remember…”
The cupbearer stepped forward.

“There was a Hebrew in prison…
He interprets dreams.”

Joseph was summoned.
Pulled from the darkness.
Washed.
Shaved.
Clothed in clean garments.

He stood before Pharaoh—
a former slave
facing the most powerful man in the world.

“I had a dream,” Pharaoh said.
“They say you can interpret it.”

Joseph bowed.

“I cannot…
but God can.”

And the dream spilled out.

Joseph listened.
Then answered:

“The dreams are one.
Seven years of abundance will come…
followed by seven years of famine.
God has revealed what He is about to do.”

Joseph didn’t stop at interpretation.
He gave strategy.

“Let Pharaoh appoint a wise man.
Store grain during the good years.
Prepare for what’s coming.”

Pharaoh’s eyes narrowed.
Then widened.

“Can we find anyone like this man—
one in whom is the Spirit of God?”

And in a moment,
Joseph was lifted.

The prisoner became the prime minister.

Pharaoh took his signet ring
and placed it on Joseph’s finger.

He dressed him in linen,
adorned him with a gold chain,
and gave him a chariot—
second only to the throne.

“No one will lift a hand or foot in all Egypt
without your word.”

Joseph rode through the streets—
once rejected,
now revered.

And in his heart,
he whispered:

“This is not my doing.
This is my God.”
