🌾 《Dreams in the Field of Hatred》
🌾 《Dreams in the Field of Hatred》
A Literary Devotional Narrative in English
The field danced with golden grain,
and in the midst of it stood one sheaf—upright.
Tall.
Still.
Around it, eleven others bowed.
Not by force,
but by destiny.
Joseph awoke,
the dream still burning in his chest.
He told it—
with the boldness of seventeen,
with the naivety of someone
who still believed brothers would celebrate him.
“Do you intend to reign over us?” (Genesis 37:8)
Their eyes hardened.
Even his father frowned.
Then came the stars,
the sun,
the moon.
Another dream.
Another spark
in the dry straw of jealousy.
Jacob sent him
to check on his brothers.
Joseph went—clothed in a robe that shimmered with favor.
But in the distance,
hatred sharpened like a blade.
“Here comes that dreamer.” (v.19)
And dreams,
it seemed,
were dangerous.
