🌿 《Clean and Unclean: Where Holiness Begins》
🌿 《Clean and Unclean: Where Holiness Begins》
— A Literary Devotional Narrative in English
The fire had fallen.
The priesthood was established.
The Tabernacle stood in sacred stillness—
a sign that God dwelled among His people.
But if God was near,
how could ordinary people live in His presence?
That question echoed like wind through the desert.
Then came the voice of God to Moses and Aaron:
“Speak to the Israelites and say:
These are the animals you may eat...”
(Leviticus 11:2)
And with that,
the laws of purity began.
Not arbitrary.
Not ritual for ritual’s sake.
But training in holiness.
An education in boundaries.
Some animals were clean—fit to eat.
Others, unclean—off-limits.
Fish with fins and scales—good.
Creatures without—no.
Birds of prey—unclean.
Grasshoppers—yes.
Lizards—no.
Strange?
Perhaps.
But sacred?
Absolutely.
It wasn’t just about food.
It was about awareness.
About living life with the constant question:
“Is this holy? Or is this profane?”
Because God wasn’t just God of the Tent—
He was God of the Table.
Of the Camp.
Of the everyday.
Every meal,
every choice,
every creature—
was an opportunity
to remember:
“You are to be holy to Me because I, the LORD, am holy.”
(Leviticus 11:44–45)
Holiness wasn’t a robe.
It was a rhythm.
A lifestyle.
A sacred habit.
God wasn’t trying to keep them from good things.
He was teaching them to hunger for the best things—
Himself.
